Elizabeth Jane Hurley (born Elizabeth Jane Hurley) is an English model, actor and model who was a former Hugh Grant girlfriend. She became famous in the early 1990s. When Hugh Grant's movie Four Weddings and a Funeral was the focus of worldwide media attention, Hurley accompanied Grant to its Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace dress and gold safety-pins. The dress instantly earned her fame in the media. The highlight of Hurley's professional life is her relationship with the cosmetics company Estee Lauder. It offered Hurley the first model gig at age 29. They have used Hurley as a model in its products especially perfumes such as Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures from 1995. Her best known cinematic work was in the role of Vanessa Kensington in Mike Myers' hit spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999). Hurley creates and models the brand's eponymous collection of swimwear. I Kissed a Girl became an international number-one single due to its combination of titillation with a polished tune. It also helped her sell more albums, including the album One of the Boys. The album's second single Hot N Cold also proving well-loved, the album that Perry composed herself, eventually saw the sales of over three million copies in the United States.
